Previously, Google is rumored to be interested in 7-inch tablet worth 249 U.S. dollars made by Asus which uses quad-core processor Nvidia Tegra 3. The tablet was exhibited at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas early in 2012.
However Androidandme received information from a senior employee at the company's U.S. supply chain. The source explained that Google wants Nexus tablet with a cheaper price.
Nexus desired tablet prices later in the range of 149-199 dollars. It's cheaper than the previous rumors on the price range of 199-249 U.S. dollars.
As a result, several changes were planned. Such as, replacing the Nvidia Tegra processor 3 with a cheaper processor. Chances are, Google will use Snapdragon processor for Nexus tablet.
Cheaper to make Google could compete directly with Amazon Kindle Fire tablet for 199 dollars.
"Yes, it is planned it is. But a lot of our partners. Not just Google for Nexus series, but also BlackBerry, Samsung, HTC and other vendors.
